magnetism may occur depending on the steel type of stainless steel.

Stainless steel is not magnetic to austenitic (SUS300 series) with high nickel (Ni) content.

However, ferrite and martensitic systems with little nickel content are magnetic.

AUSTENITIC STAINLESS STEEL ATTACHED TO MAGNETS.

Magnetism occurs in the process of manufacturing stainless steel of the austenitic system (SUS300 series) or post-processing,

but there is no magnetism in the steel (valet or ingot casting) process during the manufacturing process.

In other words, stainless steel in a molten and cast state is magnetic, but if it is not heat-treated in a rolling process, which is a plastic process,

or if it is turned, pulled, or machined after rolling, it becomes magnetic due to processing hardening.

Baekjo’s sink bowl uses austenitic SUS304 stainless steel.

The properties of the raw material may be changed by press processing, resulting in fine magnetism.
